The Duquesne Incline is a funicular that connects the South
Side neighbourhood near the start of the Ohio River up to the top of Mt
Washington. The Incline was opened in 1877 and travels up the slope of the
mountain at a 30degree angle.
From the viewing platform at the top are the best views of
Pittsburgh’s Golden Triangle and the Three Rivers. It only costs $5 for a
return trip and is a short walk from Downtown Pittsburgh.
